At four weeks old, mi Danielito has grown incredibly fast. This shouldn't surprise mamalisha considering how much he feeds. So what's new with Junior?

1. His big blue eyes are quite active. Now is the time where we help him develop his motor skills by slowly moving objects from left to right about 12 inches from his face. Its such a good feeling to see him follow the objects!!

2. He coo's like a billy goat, mamlisha refers to him as the "silly goat" when he is in this mode.

3. He has a strong left hook, he punches his parents in the face as well as himself. Both of his fist go round and round and he looks like he is working a punching bag in front of his face.

4. He farts like no one else...ALL the time! It's hillarious!!!

5. He sleeps in longer chunks of time compared to when we first brought him home. Feedings have gone from 1.5 hours / every hour from 45 minutes every 2-3 hours. Mamalisha gets a few extra hours of sleep per day but still feeds little Daniel 12-15 hours on average per day. I now understand why so many choose to formula feed, its far less exhausting on the family. But we are going to continue to breastfeed all the same.

6. Speaking of feeding time...Papa feeds his son 1-2 times per day for bonding purposes and to release Mama for a short break. During his last feeding, Danielito used his own arm to hold up the bottle on his own. I couldn't believe it!!!

7. Daniel Jr. holds his head up high. He is still a bit of a boggle head but he lifts his head and keeps it firm for several seconds at a time. Tummy time has proven to be advantageous to encourage neck strength. Its comforting to see him become so strong. He is also stretching his legs out to support himself in a standing position when we hold him.

8. As with most infants, he loves a long car ride and enjoys listening to all sorts of music. He has been going out into the world to run errands with his mama since day 5 of his life and is amazingly patient, loving and kind. He never cries unless he is in need of something...its awesome!
