Baby boy Meloy, during week 6. Growing so quickly.

Adorable outfit!! Thank you Uncle Randy and Aunt Sandi...we love this one!

We finally have a smile on file!! Its hard to catch these. He is so cute and goofy.

Mamalisha loves Jr in this outfit. Thank you Grandma Marlene!

Danielito and pappa enjoying their first St. Patricks Day festival together. We were there for over two hours and baby boy was wonderful the entire time. He is such an angel!

He loves to go on walks.

Mamalisha loves it when he looks at her.

FUNNIEST PICTURE EVER!! I love this one! He was pissed at me for taking all these pictures.

Cute little outfit from Uncle Randy that he has recently outgrown. They really do grow up fast! Sorry for the red eye, I need picture software installed.
Big sister is just as happy as she can be with her little brother. She does very well around the baby, just wants to lick him and smell him all day long.

We love to watch our little angel sleep!

Daniel Jr. meets his second cousin, Aaron, for the first time

The happy family!

The kids hang out with family

Jr. just loves Sofya as she sings to him

Danielito meets his great uncle for the first time. Uncle Gary held me at that age and now holds one of my own. Isn't life amazing?!
Honey loves the boppy just as much as Danielito...

Junior brings daddy lunch for the first time. This is daddy feeding baby boy in his cubicle.

Yes I do have big beautiful eyes!!!

At four weeks old, mi Danielito has grown incredibly fast. This shouldn't surprise mamalisha considering how much he feeds. So what's new with Junior?

1. His big blue eyes are quite active. Now is the time where we help him develop his motor skills by slowly moving objects from left to right about 12 inches from his face. Its such a good feeling to see him follow the objects!!

2. He coo's like a billy goat, mamlisha refers to him as the "silly goat" when he is in this mode.

3. He has a strong left hook, he punches his parents in the face as well as himself. Both of his fist go round and round and he looks like he is working a punching bag in front of his face.

4. He farts like no one else...ALL the time! It's hillarious!!!

5. He sleeps in longer chunks of time compared to when we first brought him home. Feedings have gone from 1.5 hours / every hour from 45 minutes every 2-3 hours. Mamalisha gets a few extra hours of sleep per day but still feeds little Daniel 12-15 hours on average per day. I now understand why so many choose to formula feed, its far less exhausting on the family. But we are going to continue to breastfeed all the same.

6. Speaking of feeding time...Papa feeds his son 1-2 times per day for bonding purposes and to release Mama for a short break. During his last feeding, Danielito used his own arm to hold up the bottle on his own. I couldn't believe it!!!

7. Daniel Jr. holds his head up high. He is still a bit of a boggle head but he lifts his head and keeps it firm for several seconds at a time. Tummy time has proven to be advantageous to encourage neck strength. Its comforting to see him become so strong. He is also stretching his legs out to support himself in a standing position when we hold him.

8. As with most infants, he loves a long car ride and enjoys listening to all sorts of music. He has been going out into the world to run errands with his mama since day 5 of his life and is amazingly patient, loving and kind. He never cries unless he is in need of something...its awesome!

Bath time is a good time! He really enjoys bath time!!

Slippery when wet. Pictures of his first official bath. We did sponge baths for the first 2 weeks to allow healing time for the umbilical cord.

I love it when he holds my finger

Holding his head as high as he can

Dan Sr. is an amazing father. I knew he would be a great daddy but I had no idea how wonderful he would truly be. His help has been priceless and I am so blessed to have a husband who loves to be with his son, even if it means changing a poopie diaper.

He sleeps like this often!

We go skin to skin on a daily basis to encourage bonding and healthy breastfeeding habits. Studies have found skin to skin to be an important experience for mother and child from birth through infancy to encourage bonding, feeding, warmth and comfort. It also keeps mamalisha from doing to much laundry and baby spit up clean up is a breeze!!!
